DEI and Culture Building at Meyer

PROCESS

Led process for and co-designed Meyer’s first staff and board retreat to build relationship and share strategy during period of organizational change. Worked closely with CEO, DEI Manager and executive team to lead staff through an adapted design thinking process to identify, define and ideate on solutions to organizational challenges and deepen DEI work. Designed and facilitated workshops and other creative activities for new ways of connecting over several months.

IMPACT / OUTCOME

The year-long, culture-building work emphasized practicing reflection, deep listening, collaboration and being open to experimenting. It also created space for courageous conversations around DEI, race and power.

Staff co-created a set of working agreements and identified accountability mechanisms to help them in their practice to build a stronger culture and organization committed to Meyer’s values of equity and inclusion.
